Case #5: Connecting Chinese business delegation to innovative technology and incubator partners

A group of Chinese businesspeople intended to travel to Israel with the goal of identifying innovative technologies and solutions to bring to China and the surrounding markets.
With significant access to funding, real estate, prototyping and manufacturing capabilities, distribution networks, and regulatory approval connections at both the provincial and state levels, the group was keen on identifying potential innovations and partnerships that could lead to high growth business opportunities.

Diligence Wound Care Global was retained to plan and facilitate three days of high-level meetings with potential Israeli innovation and business partners as the main highlight of the delegation’s visit.
Our China-based team spoke with each of the delegation members, identifying their key business challenges and opportunities, and what they specifically sought to gain from the trip.

Our Israel-based team then leveraged on-the-ground connections to scout and assess dozens of potential startup companies and partners for the Chinese delegation to visit and meet with. This led to creation of a final agenda, which included healthcare robotics and nanotechnology materials firms, disruptive medical device, and innovation accelerator and incubator discussions.

We also facilitated translation services for the delegation during their trip.

In addition to the education gained, many partnerships were planted, with continued collaboration and business generated to this day.
